The Challenge
Coinstar, Inc.?s mission is to become the world’s premier provider of business solutions for the retailer’s front-of-store by offering a network of consumer products that are convenient, reliable, safe and fun. Coinstar?s Operations management team met with the Brilliance Performance Group (BPG) when they needed to integrate four new acquisitions into the Coinstar company. They needed to define and plan the integration process, analyze and develop a strategy for this consolidated group and determine a leadership team and execution plan. BPG?s role in this effort was multi-tiered and required a high level of trust and participation with members of the internal integration team.
The BPG approach was threefold:
- Clarify a business model that would allow them to execute their strategy
- Assist the leadership of the operations group in making better execution decision based on improved processes
- Leadership mentoring for operations management
